AmeriForce Media, a service-disabled, veteran-owned, small-business was founded in 1999 to provide print and digital military-lifestyle content to America’s (1) Active Duty and (2) Reserve Component service members and their families across the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.

- Military Families Magazine: 140,000+ circulation; published 10x annually; distributed to over 1,300 on-base entities, e.g. family service centers, daycare centers, ships at sea, lodges, MWR (recreation facilities), relocation offices and more; by written leadership request only. Special annual issues include: Finance Guide (1Q), Relocation Guide (2Q), Deployment Guide (3Q), and Guide to Being a Veteran (4Q).
- The Reserve & National Guard Magazine: 140,000+ circulation; published 8x; distributed to over 1,250 Reserve and National Guard units nationwide by written leadership request only. This is the only publication that reaches all seven reserve component service branches.
- Military Digital: With a growing digital subscriber base of over 55,000 registered military members, AmeriForces Media’s digital products including its website properties and associated advertising, eNewsletters, dedicated emails, digital editions, sponsorships, native content, and contests and sweepstakes provide unique ways to deliver brand messaging directly to the inboxes and phones of military service members.
About the Leadership
Todd Taranto, Publisher: After graduating from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York, Todd served as an Army artillery officer. Upon leaving Army service, Todd began his business career with a specialization around successful small businesses and publishing companies. Todd earned his MBA from Indiana University.
Julie Miller, Vice-President of Sales: Julie is the daughter and granddaughter of Navy officers and a former military spouse. She has a bachelor’s degree in communications from University of Maryland and a master’s in journalism and public relations from Kent State University. Julie has 20 years’ experience in publishing—14 of them in the military market. She lives in Illinois.
Brian Dunbar, Director of Business Development: Brian is the son of a retired Air Force officer. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Georgetown University. Brian has nearly 30 years’ experience in the military community publishing business. He lives in Florida.
Jennifer Williams, Editor: Jennifer lives the unique military life we write about in our guides and magazines. An Army Guard Colonel’s spouse and military “brat,” Jennifer holds a journalism degree from Louisiana State University. She and her family recently PCSd (relocated) to Alabama from Pennsylvania.
Diana Tyo, Production Manager: Diana has decades of experience in the publishing industry—several of those in the military. She received her degree in sociology from California State University. She also has graduate certification in graphic arts. Diana and her husband live in Southern California.
